How to measure your dog
Taking a careful measurement helps us guide you towards the most comfortable fit for your dog. Try to measure while your dog is standing naturally, with the tape/string resting comfortably against their body.
No soft tape measure? No problem! You can use a piece of string or ribbon instead. Wrap it gently around your dog, mark the point where it meets, and then measure the string against a ruler.
If your dog is still growing or has a particularly thick coat, allow a little extra room when measuring so that the fit remains comfortable as they grow or when their coat is at its fullest.
Companion Harness
For the Companion Harness, you will need two measurements: your dog’s neck and girth.
Measure around the base of your dog’s neck, where the harness’s neck strap will sit. Then measure around the widest part of their rib cage, following the area where the harness’s girth strap will rest. This is further back than the area directly behind the front legs.
The tape or string should sit comfortably and naturally against your dog’s body, without pulling tightly or hanging loosely.
